Legislation

I work closely with Alderwoman Hadden to set the legislative agenda for the 49th Ward. Together, we work alongside stakeholders to craft, analyze, and introduce key legislation. Upon introduction, we continue to engage stakeholders, relevant City departments, and other legislators to work towards passage.

Click on the arrows below to review some of the most consequential pieces of legislation the 49th Ward has championed since 2019. ​The items with an asterisk(*) are legislation I took the lead on writing; those without an asterisk are legislation that we worked closely with other stakeholders to draft. Policy drafting is an iterative process, meaning that a single piece of legislation may go through many versions before it is introduced and passed based on feedback from departments, organizational partners, and other relevant stakeholders. Even after passage, we may revisit it as we gather more data.
